It just felt like I spent most of my time in those games messing with the control sliders trying to find something that didn't feel bad to play. I'm always up for being proven wrong hopefully they're both great, but i'm rooting for Test Drive. NFS is iffy and so is my experience with Criterion, this year i made my third attempt to play Burnout Paradise but i just can't get into it, i will say 2010's Hot Pursuit is one of my favourite racing games but most other NFS games have been a miss and the style of the new one isn't attractive to me, not to mention EA's "tendancies" which puts doubt on every game they make. I loved Test Drive Unlimited 1 and 2, the scale of the map was insane at the time and randomly bumping into people online served the driving culture aspect of the game really well, it was buggy at times but it was unique and interesting, the developers of Solar Crown also make WRC which has some of my favourite driving physics ever so i'm hoping that translates to Test Drive, i feel like its development has been pretty long and quiet which could be a good or bad thing, so fingers crossed. was shut down on January 29th, 2013 then reopened on October 31st, 2013 as an independent studio, and then created Gear.Club/GT Spirit. Need For Speed: Shift, Shift 2: Unleashed and Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends are developed by Slightly Mad Studios.Ivory Tower was founded by three former employees of Eden Games and created The Crew as a spiritual successor to Test Drive & Driver then later they got acquired by Ubisoft Entertainment.Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed (PS1 version) and the Test Drive Unlimited series are both developed by Eden Games.Distinctive Software was acquired by EA in 1991, resulting in them losing the rights on developing Test Drive and they ended up creating The Need For Speed (1994 Game) as a spiritual successor, while Test Drive was taken over by other developers and still being published by Accolade until closed down in 2000 then Infogrames/Atari SA acquired the IP.Test Drive & Need For Speed IP are both created by Distinctive Software.Trivia of Test Drive & Need For Speed franchise: The character designs & art style reminds me of Boss Alien's CSR Racing, I guess the in-game's plot will be similar to the first three Fast & Furious movies and the handling wise is likely going to be a mixture of Criterion Games' Burnout Paradise, Need For Speed Most Wanted (2012 Game) and Evolution Studios/Codemasters Cheshire MotorStorm series, Onrush & DiRT 5 but we will find out in the next trailers, so please stay tuned. Criterion Games/ Codemasters Cheshire's Need For Speed Unbound will take place in Lakeshore City (A fictionalized version of Chicago, USA), featuring an underground street racing organisation, having types of cars ranging from tuner, muscle, and exotic that can be customized, and it will feature a felony system (Called as Heat) which was previously used in Need For Speed Heat, where players become more notorious in the game's virtual city as they participate on street racing, performing stunts and running away from the cops as they continue to progress through the story mode.
